About Me

Therapy Is A Safe Space To Become Your Truest Self.
Extensive Experience Working With Anxiety, Emotional Regulation Issues, Relationships, Trauma & Depression

My name is Ana. I’m a certified CBT and REBT psychotherapist.

I have vast international experience in the USA and Europe (Serbia) and strive for culturally-sensitive, responsive, and humble therapy. I believe my clients have the capacity to create beautiful, long-lasting change. Over the years, I have found that challenging yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically ultimately leads to a life filled with meaningful relationships. When you’re willing to examine yourself, much is revealed.

I graduated from UC Berkeley and trained across the USA and Europe in CBT, REBT and other modalities working with clients in Belgrade and online.

But before any of that, I’m someone who understands what it means to carry things quietly. To look completely fine on the outside while something on the inside just isn’t working. To know that you need to talk to someone, and still find a hundred reasons not to.

I’ve also worked with couples who love each other but can’t seem to stop hurting each other… I’ve helped them rebuild communication from the ground up and lay a foundation of trust again.

My approach is structured but primarily human. I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative journey between therapist and client. Through compassion, warmth, and curiosity, I provide a safe environment for clients to explore the factors that hinder growth and perpetuate feeling stuck. I believe everyone has the capacity to form a deeper connection to self and arrive at the change they may be seeking.

Awareness is recognizing the pattern.

Growth is choosing not to repeat it.

Awareness sparks change; small steps build resilience. Continuity creates the stability and confidence you need to thrive.

Trust the process.

What Life Looks Like When You're No Longer Fighting Yourself, Or Each Other.

The pattern you’re stuck in has a name and a way out – whether it’s happening inside your head or inside your relationship, it can be changed!

My hands-on and holistic approach will aid in the journey towards facilitating a higher sense of self-awareness. By strengthening your emotional wellbeing, gaining insight into your triggers and reactions, and disrupting unhealthy patterns you can develop and maintain fulfilling relationships, sustain personal growth, and gain an authentic acceptance of self.

Anxiety & Panic Attacks

Feels like your brain is stuck on “what if” scenarios and won’t shut up, nausea, emptiness, staring at nothing while your heart beats like you’re sprinting. One minute you’re sweaty, the next you’re ice-cold, light-headed, dizzy, like the walls are closing in and you might just stop breathing. It’s like being trapped in your own body on a freeway with no exit, terrified something awful is about to happen… even when nothing is actually happening. With CBT and REBT, you’ll get practical tools that will help you understand this pattern, shift your relationship with anxiety, and learn how to manage it successfully.

Depression & Social Anxiety

If you feel like you’re living in a shadowy pit while everyone else walks in the sun then therapy is for you. You go through the motions, but everything feels flat, heavy, and pointless. You’re surrounded by people who care, yet you feel completely alone, bone‑tired all the time, watching life from behind glass. Nothing sounds fun, nothing feels worth doing, and even small social stuff drains you…

Couples Therapy

You love each other but you keep ending up in the same place? It’s like walking on eggshells in your own home – measuring every word because one sigh or eye‑roll could set off the next fight… And every time it happens you lose a little more trust between you. If you’re wondering deep down “Am I really willing to live the next 10, 20, 50 years like this? Then we can find a solution together.

How It Works

Starting is simpler than you think

Three steps stand between you and your first session. No complicated intake process, just a clear path to feeling heard and supported.

First Step

Choose a time that works for you

Browse my available slots and pick one that fits your schedule. When booking your first session, you’ll also select the session length. A longer first session is recommended, giving you enough space to settle in, share your story, and set a clear direction together.

Second Step

Fill out your intake form

After booking, you’ll receive a short questionnaire to complete before your session. It covers the basics – what brings you here, any current medications, your history with therapy, and a few other things that me prepare before our first session. There are no right or wrong answers. The goal is simply to make your first hour as useful as possible.

Third Step

Show up, and just talk

At the scheduled time, join the session from wherever you are – your sofa, your living room or your bedroom. I will already know the essentials about you, so you won’t spend the first half explaining your background. You can skip straight to what matters most.

THE TRUTH

Let’s Be Completely Honest For a Moment

You’re reading this because something in you already knows this can’t go on.

The same feeling every morning, the same thoughts on repeat, the same argument that never actually gets resolved.

And somewhere underneath it all, the same question you keep asking yourself: “How much longer can I keep going like this?” Right now, you have two options.

Option 1 - Keep Doing What You've Always Done

You can carry on the way you have been. Talk to friends who listen but can’t really help. Read another self-help article, watch another YouTube video.

Tell yourself it will pass, that you just need more willpower, that other people have it worse, how you can be ‘strong’ enough…

And a week later, everything is exactly the same. The anxiety comes back, the tension in your relationship stays. You’re a little more tired and a little less sure that things will ever actually change.

Nobody wants to carry that for years if there’s a better way. And the longer you wait, the more the pattern solidifies, and the harder it becomes to break.

Option 2 - Book One Conversation

We schedule a session and break the chains that have been holding you and your relationship step by step.

From your own space, no waiting room, no commute, no awkwardness, we start to understand what’s actually happening underneath everything. No judgment or generic advice, I won’t tell you to “just think positive.”

It’ll be a structured, focused work on the pattern that’s been keeping you stuck, until it no longer does.

If you want to keep carrying it alone, waiting for it to pass, and hoping things will somehow be different, therapy might not be for you.

If you’re ready to finally change the pattern instead of just surviving it, one conversation can begin to change everything that comes after.

FAQ

Things Worth Knowing

FAQ

Things Worth Knowing

Is what we talk about confidential?

Absolutely. Everything you say stays between us. The only legally required exception is if there is a direct safety risk, and that does not apply to everyday sessions. Your space is safe.

No. You can come with nothing more than a feeling that something is off, without a single answer prepared. That is more than enough. I will email you the initial intake form, which generally clients fill out prior to the first session, so we can use our time more effectively and efficiently. You can jot down a few bullet points or priorities there as well to make sure we cover what’s most important to you.

Completely normal, and almost everyone who books a first session feels exactly the same way. Feel free to tell me at the start that you are nervous. It actually makes the conversation easier, not harder. There is no pressure to open up all the way on day one.

The first session is a getting-to-know-you conversation. We talk about what brought you here, what has been weighing on you, and what your story looks like so far. We do not go straight into the deepest things. We set the pace together.

Many clients come in feeling exactly that way. My job is not to wait for you to formulate everything perfectly. It is to ask the right questions and help you get there. You do not need to have it all figured out before you sit down.

Using CBT and REBT, we pinpoint the ‘glitches’ in your thinking and emotional triggers. This is a structured, step-by-step process where you learn to recognize your patterns and learn to master your reactions. Beyond mere insight, you will leave equipped with evidence-based tools to reclaim control and live with purpose.

It depends on what you bring to it. Some clients notice a real shift after just a few sessions. Others work more deeply over several months. There is no fixed number. We assess together based on what we are achieving and what you need.

That is a conversation we will have openly, together. Therapy only works if it works for you. If something is not landing, you tell me and we adjust the approach. My role is to give you what actually helps, not treat you as just another spot in the calendar. Everyone is different and we will find the approach that works for you.

Research consistently shows that online therapy produces the same results as in-person for anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Many clients are actually more open online because they are speaking from their own space, somewhere they already feel safe.

You need a stable internet connection and a quiet spot where you will not be interrupted. The video session works just like a face-to-face conversation. We see and hear each other in real time. No special apps, no complicated setup.

“I do not want to be the person who goes to a psychologist. Does needing therapy mean something is wrong with me?”

Therapy does not mean something is wrong with you. It means you stopped waiting for things to fix themselves. The healthiest step anyone can take is to find structured support instead of going in circles alone.

A bad experience with a therapist is real and it deserves to be acknowledged. Feel free to tell me in the first session what bothered you before. It helps me understand what you need, and it gives you a sense of control from the start. My approach is not passive listening and nodding.

Yes, and that is exactly why online therapy exists. Sometimes the very problem you need help with is also the reason you cannot show up in person. The online format removes that barrier entirely.

It is the opposite, actually. The best time for couples therapy is when the relationship is functioning but you keep circling the same topics, when communication could be healthier, or when you want a stronger foundation before getting married. Waiting for a crisis only makes the work harder.

Book a session on your own. Individual sessions focused on relationship patterns and your own communication style can shift the dynamic even when only one person is doing the work. When one partner changes, the relationship changes with them.

That is not my role. My role is to help both of you see the pattern that keeps pulling you backward, instead of arguing about who is to blame. Couples therapy is not a verdict. It is a tool.

It makes complete sense. The heavy topics, money, children, values, and families, are much easier to open up about in a safe space before marriage than after, when life forces them on you. Coming before problems arrive is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of maturity.

Just schedule a session; you will get an intake form that you should fill out and send to me before the session begins. No waiting room, no fancy paperwork to fill out in advance. We find a time that works for you, and we start.

One session costs less than a month of self-help apps, books, or honestly, one weekend of avoiding the problem. The difference is that here you are actually changing the pattern, not just passing the time.

No problem, just please let me know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to change or cancel our appointment. This allows me to offer the slot to someone else. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice or no-shows will be charged the full fee. I understand that emergencies happen; in such cases, the fee may be waived.
